True Sport provides a framework for safeguarding, supporting, and equipping the WA sport industry in a long-term, sustainable manner. True Sport is the overarching, umbrella brand with initiatives including Mental Health & Wellbeing, Child Safeguarding and Sideline Behaviour, providing specialised support for sports to tackle industry challenges.
True Sport exists to allow the sport industry in WA to thrive and prosper for generations to come. With the support of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, the development of True Sport aims to streamline communication, and deliver initiatives run through sport in WA, in a consistent and considered way ensuring the sport experience remains the priority.
True Sport is the realisation of over 18 months of review, consultation and industry feedback conducted by SportWest regarding the contemporary needs of sport delivery in Western Australia, and remains a program that is by the industry, for the industry.
